Strainrite Agri 8 Solar Energizer, 0.68 Joule, 8km

The Strainrite Agri 8 Solar is the top of the internal-battery solar range: 8km of fence, 5.4 hectares or 12.8 acres, from a unit that needs nothing but a steel post and daylight. No separate panel to mount, no battery box to wire, no mains anywhere near it.

It runs the same 10 watt panel and internal lithium iron phosphate battery as the Agri 5 Solar, pushed to 0.68 joules output at 12kV. That extra headroom is what carries a longer multi-wire run — or the same run with more vegetation load on it through a wet spring. Above this point the range moves to external batteries and separate panels.

Features

Powers Up To 8km of Fence: 5.4 hectares or 12.8 acres of optimal multi-wire fence — the largest self-contained solar unit in the range.

Everything In One Housing: Panel, battery and energizer in a single unit — nothing separate to mount, wire or protect. Steel post mounting.

Internal Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery: 3.3Ah LiFe battery, charged from flat in about 4 hours of full sun by the large 10W panel.

Comes Back From Flat: If the battery runs flat and drops into deep sleep, it reactivates — even after months — simply by putting the unit back in the sun.

Solar and Battery Charge Indicators: Separate indicators for panel and battery state — check it in passing rather than testing it.

Day/Night Sensor and Deep Sleep Mode: Automatic day and night operation, and safe battery storage through the off season.

On/Off Tag and Lightning Protection: Keyring tag switches the unit on and off; internal lightning protection as standard.
