The small parts carry the current. This collection is the hardware layer of a portable fence: jumper leads (alligator clips) for temporary connections, split bolts and connectors for permanent low-resistance joins, butterfly and spring clips for rod posts, warning signs, and the replacement pieces that keep reels, posts and handles working season after season.
Voltage loss usually isn't the energizer — it's a bad connection somewhere down the line. Do connections right and check them with a fault finder.
