Strainrite Easy Wire Puller

Tying off at a strainer post is a two-hands-short job. You need one hand holding tension, one wrapping the wire, and a third for the staples and hammer. The Strainrite Easy Wire Puller gives you that third hand — it takes and holds the tension around the strainer post so you can tie off or staple with both hands free.

Clamp it on, pull the wire up to tension, and it stays there. The wire clamp uses a smooth grip that holds without nicking or scoring, which matters on hi-tensile: a gouged wire is a wire that will eventually fail at the gouge. It works on plain fencing wire and on netting wire, so the same tool covers a hi-tensile build and a woven wire run.

At roughly 678mm (26") overall it's a one-hand carry down the fence line, not something you leave in the truck. It slots in alongside a chain strainer rather than replacing it — the chain strainer does the long pull between strainer posts, the Easy Wire Puller handles the tie-off at each end.
